First class Hotel within a pretty town with good local restaurants. First class spa facilities and very helpful staff.

I would suggest a more detailed map for foreign travelers that are not familiar with driving in Italy.

It states on their webpage, that you can take a shuttle to the hotel once you take the train to the Pontedera/Casciana Terme Station. We called the hotel when we arrived at the station, and there is no shuttle, they just told us to find a taxi cab. The bus stop is more than 50 meters from the hotel, you have to walk into town to catch the bus.

They claim to speak English there, but they really don't. When we would ask questions about where to catch the bus,etc.. they couldn't tell us. We had 1 double room and 1 single room, they gave the smaller room to my husband and I, and gave his mother the bigger room. Our room also had a big pillar that holds up the building right through the middle of it, which made the room pretty small. The walls were very thin, you could hear everything from the room next to you, and the hotel was very noisy due to the slamming of the very heavy doors all night long!

The hotel was very clean and decorated nicely. It was very noisy at night, and I didn't get much sleep in the 3 nights that we stayed there. The food in the hotel is more for a wellness spa, not for vacationing people.

It is a nice place if you are going to a wellness spa, but if you are looking for a quiet place to get a good nights sleep, and are going to be doing alot of traveling from there, stay somewhere else.

I booked a double room and was dissapointed to find that the room was actually two single beds pushed together.
There was no infomration in the room about room service, how to use the TV, what time meals where or where they were, what services where available in the spa etc
...
The bath/shower water was brown which was a little off putting.

fine - staff were very helpful with organising a taxi and giving us maps for the surrounding area.

a full list of spa facilities and costs would be nice.

perfectly adequate, though wouldn;t stay there for a holiday (we were there for wedding).
